No, it is not a glitch. Once a question has a favorite answer it can not be deleted. Those are the rules they want us to play by.

If the person who asked the question has chosen a best answer to that question, you cannot delete your answer. That is NOT a glitch..Your answer is part of Yahoo/Verizon's digital data bases. Yahoo/Verizon owns the question and all the answers, including your answer. It is NOT a glitch. The question still can get additional answers.
As you explained in the comments to another answer to THIS question, you chose a best answer. No one can delete or edit their answers. That is NOT a glitch. YA'S original purpose was to create a searchable digital database of personal knowledge and life experience. Almost no one searches. The SAME questions get asked over and over and over.

Once a question has an answer......even your own.........it's locked in and cannot be deleted.
You can try deleting your answer first.......but even if you do, it may have already "locked in" your question.
If there are any other answers........then you can't delete the question.

You can't delete the answer you posted? Typically the only time an answer can't be deleted is if the user who posted the question has already selected a best/favorite answer. Otherwise, any user who posted an answer should be able to delete their own answer (so if you haven't already chosen a best answer, then it would be a glitch to disallow you to delete the post you made in the answer area of your own question).

You can only delete them if they have no answers. Click on 'Edit' beside your question and then delete it. If it has an answer the Edit button no longer appears and you cannot delete it.

I don't think Yahoo lets you answer your own questions. Since your ID was the same on both, they probably count your answer as part of the question. Try deleting the question. You can always re-post it.
