“Ticketing in Progress” Expedia?

Call the airline and talk to a human to find out if you actually have a ticket. 

This i why I always buy tickets using the airline's website. 

Use the telephone. Call Expedia. Call the airline. An agent there can tell you whether you have confirmed tickets. 

maybe you should call them and ask them yourself

What is it you really do not know.?

 I checked on the airline website using my confirmation code for the flights and it just tells me it’s too early to check in.

You cannot check in until about 24 hours before flight.

You  DO NOT at this time have an assigned seat.

If you want a more specific answer more detail is needed.

EVERY AIRLINE does not have the same procedure just the way it is.

If you want a specific seat PAY FOR IT.

If you do not care where you sit then about 24 hours before departure you can check in or wait and do it at the Airport.

Shall we all guess if you have an International flight.

By chance is this flight to some place that has the current virus complications?

So far you appear to have no issue other than what seat you will be sitting in.

You know your flight number.

You know your departure place and time.

You know where you will sleep at destination.
