Am I fearing God all wrong?

There is no "evidence" in the beliefs of the many gods we have and still worship today. If one does not believe in the gods they can believe in themselves and what they will leave behind but not everyone promotes a heaven/hell as many understand that there is existence after the death of this body. There are verified cases of past life memories as well a those who have "visited" which demonstrate to me that this is not the only life or existence we have or will experience. What you do in this life is important and as important as what you leave behind when you leave it!

You need to EXPERIENCE that life is not pointless. A mere belief in that, based on other beliefs (i.e., that God exists), will never satisfy that need.

Mal. 3&4 : He is like a refiner's fire . You have to be obeying all of Jesus' sayings long enough .

In the story of Abraham in heaven with the LORD and the rich man in hell pleading for evidence of the afterlife to be sent to his family, he asks Abraham, " … ‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone is sent to them from the dead, they will repent.’ Then Abraham said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’” (Lk 16:31)

What more would you like God to do other than send His Son into the world, die for the sins of the world, and rise from the dead?

The fact of the matter: God is giving us evidence each and everyday, because God The Lord Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior all of his prophecy are coming true day by day, whether it be, mocking and scoffing at God holy word the bible, that is just one of God prophecy. May God richly bless you and save you and watch over you and protect you from Satan the evil one, who prowls about the world, seeking the ruination of souls of the entire nations of the world.

Which lifestyle would you rather have?  One where you try your best to love everyone and treat them with respect, where you search in your heart for the Creator of all; or the other of making gods out of the pursuit of power, fame, material trappings, and/or pleasure?  In the first way you will find a peace, contentment and an occasional insurmountable joy when you do find Him.  The second creates a hunger that is never satisfied as there is always more power, more fame, more money and more pleasure to be had.

Evidence for God is all around... every other day some one different brings up a new piece of evidence.  In the last 150 years it seems like every other scientific discovery lends more and more credence to the existence of God.  So far I have asked 13 questions each giving another bit of evidence.  Certainly some are far stronger than others, but all provide evidence of God.  These include evidence from logic, from science, from history, and the miraculous.  Do yourself a favor and read them, and also read the extremely weak responses to them by atheists.

Here is something i've discovered about death and believe it to be fact. This is definitely my personal answer to such a question and personal belief as well.

We will NEVER know if god, heaven, hell, or any other belief exists after death. NEVER.  Why?  Because when we die.  Our physical brain dies.  Our brain is what  holds all the memories of who we are. 

So think about it.

For example i believe in reincarnation.  You could be your 5th or 10th reincarnation of yourself right now. But you would never know that because your past selfs memories died along with your body.

you could of stared god in the face in one of those past lives. but you'll never remember it.

When you die in this life. You could be in heaven, saying hello to jesus. But youll never know that cause it will be a new you. With new memories. no longer having access to your old memories.

Savour what you have now.  Dont worry about the what ifs.

You are missing the point of life if you spend time worrying about things you have no control over.  Do the next right thing, repeat.  What happens after death will take care of itself and be perfect.  :)

If you are fearing a God, you are wrong.  There is no God. 

Easy!  

You're not completely wrong. I am convinced that there is an afterlife, but why does that necessitate a ruler?
