Why is Feminism sometimes so Extremist about Equalism?

I understand the fight for being equal in many aspects such as salaries and other things and equalism in these topics is very good.

but about a month ago, I was informed about an event in New Zealand that the government changed the pedestrian lights so that women icons be in them too (Feminists wanted this change).

really is it so important so that women want to be equal with men in it? Isn't this an obvious jealousy?

I -as a man- don't care about the icons in pedestrian lights! it isn't important at all!

Feminists are not reasonable when it comes to salaries. Using the government to force employers to pay women equally violates the employers right to contract and property. Everyone has the right to control what terms they will agree to in a contract and everyone has a right to control their property. The feminist claim that their demands for equal pay is more important than the employers rights is an absurdity in justice and reason and should not be allowed to stand.

In fact, equal pay for equal work is an extremist position that is build around the ideas of Lenin and communism, not of the free exchange of services and labor that capitalism is built upon. Oh and yes, Lenin is the one that came up with the feminist slogan "equal pay for equal work".

Anyway, feminists have been fighting for the absurdity for their entire existence and have been almost entirely focused on it since the 1960's.

That merely proves that New Zealand has so few problems that it can afford to focus on the ridiculous. We should all be so content as the kiwis are.

The way feminists win advantages for women is by getting people to believe feminists are oppressed victims.  Part of this includes making a big deal out of the most trivial of things, such as icons.   Note of course, feminists are very one-sided in what they point to.   They point to male dominated careers as being unequal, but ignore the many careers that are female dominated.  The complain college athletics might be 60% males but ignore the fact programs like palates, yoga, aerobics, etc. are often 90% female or more.

Given women now have equal rights and even many advantages over men, feminists have to be extreme about the most minor of things.  It's all they have left.

You can't continue to push for advantages if things are seen as equal.

Consequently, you become hypervigilant looking for any sign of inequality.

Problem is, of course, you have to studiously ignore any inequality that goes the other way.

To the rest of the world, you look like hypocrites.  But if you're a feminist, you know that the only thing you can do is try harder, look more ridiculous and keep pushing.

So now, you can look forward to being considered man-hating feminazis etc.  You can look forward to people actually preferring to not being around you.  You can look forward to being actively discriminated against by people who want more harmonious work places (your sexual, racial etc demographics are protected.  Your opinions are not protected.  I don't have to hire somebody who thinks I'm a jerk, regardless of what gender, race or creed they are).

And worse, if you are actually trying to promote equality, you can look forward to being considered PART OF THE PROBLEM.

"Why is Feminism sometimes so Extremist about Equalism?"

This is what feminism has become in our age of full equality via equal Rights and opportunities here in the first world.  Their original mandate fulfilled, they now have to invent problems for women so they can appear to remain relevant.  Obviously, equal Rights are just not good enough any more.

As we see with this example, and so many more, the feminists of today want to change our whole society now.  But they don't want to have any discussion about it either.  The change is to be imposed through Cultural Marxism.  And only -their- ideas are to be brought forth.  There is no "diversity" of thought or opinion allowed in the feminist/cultural Marxist plan.  This is what you are seeing such nonsense being passed off as "women's advocacy" (feminism). It's spun off this way so that any resistance to their radical social change will have the critic shamed as a "misogynisty" or "sexist" or even "woman hater".
