Why is my stepdad such an a****hole?

I’m 29 and living at home. I will be moving out in 1-2 years when I have money and good credit. My “step dad” tells me to keep my daughter (who is 4) quiet when I’m getting her ready for preschool. This is around 7:15 in the morning. His excuse is that he needs quiet to sleep for work. (He works mid afternoon-night. She doesn’t make that much noise so I think he’s being a bit unreasonable. I sometimes wish I can tell him off. He also yells at me if my daughter makes any type of mess or noise. How can I cope??

Sit down and figure out just how much you're saving by sponging off your stepdad and let that be a balm to your aggravation. You're very fortunate you're being allowed to live there at nearly 30.

Try to make as little noise as possible and whisper to your daughter not to make any noise  …………. is sleeping.  Children are good imitators.
