Sometimes we use it to lie— but often there is truth in it

No.  Language is just a confusing medium used to propagate lies.  Even the word lie is confusing, it has more than one meaning.

It is a waste of time too.  But since that is what we do best, why not?

No, it's not a lie; it's a tool that can be used for truth or lies.

No. Lies are misrepresentations of one's actual beliefs. Language is a means of communication; it is used to communicate both truth and lies.

Its audio-symbolic. It gives us a way to represent the aspects of visual consciousness. If you have ever came across other people rambling on in a different language you might not be able to think of anything they are saying, you wouldn't know the meaning to their words. What "meaning" is, is still a mystery to me, but I think it has something to do with the aforementioned form of thinking (audio-symbolic visual). Not a lie, unless one "means" to with their language.

    Yes it is  language

No. But it can be used to lie.

There is nothing inherent in language that mandates confusing words with the things they represent.
