What's an alternative excuse for not using ladders or step stools?

I have seizures and I'm not allowed to use those, but it's not a good idea to tell my work. I tried to tell one job and they didn't let me work for almost a month. They wanted to tell HR. So I am keeping it on the DL for this one. So I need an excuse in case this job wants me to use ladders or stand on step stools

Get a doctors letter informing your employer that you can not use them. The law will require the employer to make other arrangements for you and without penalizing you. The exception might be if you knew of the necessity of needing to use ladders prior to accepting the job. You should have disclosed that information at the time you were hired if you knew of the step stools. If not get that doctors note and inform them now.
