    Star Wars.

    Bigger SFX budget.

    Often (not always) better writing.

Typically easier to produce excellent material when producing a single movie compared to producing a whole series of episodes.

    And

    by comparison

Clone Wars TV series outshines even Star Trek: Enterprise

and the first Star Wars movie (I mean: the really first one) easily outdoes the best Star Trek movie (which IMO was the 2009 "Star Trek", though I really loved movie IV, great because of its comedy)

Star Trek seems to get bogged down in

    - character trivia (which you NEED to know to "get" some of the lines)

    - broken story lines (exception: Enterprise 2nd and 3rd seasons)

    Star Wars much less so

though I'll always wonder why it is that when Opie Juan told Darth Vader

    - If you strike me down I will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine

    what he really meant by

    - more powerful than you can possibly imagine

    was

    - I'll glow blue and tell Luke to do stuff

Star Wars ended at part 6. The rest are just reboots with new cast. Why even call it 7, 8, and 9 if you're just doing the same thing as 4, 5, and 6.

    So Star Trek.

Star Wars.  I like space wizards more than space science.  Don't get me wrong, there are many good Trek episodes, but some of them just go too deep into the science.

star trek, because star wars is just a long series of wars and really bad acting
