Can anyone read what this says on an old death certificate in 1873?

Puerperal fever, a bacterial infection of the reproductive tract following childbirth or miscarriage and in those days usually fatal.

Another vote for "puerperal fever," also known as childbirth fever. My maternal grandmother died of it after giving birth to my aunt. She was 26.
