I'm talking about the quarantines and the loss of work and business for all these people. We can't shut the country down forever

Even if they lift the lockdown and restrictions are lifted some things will take a while to get back up running and to speed.
It's unlikely that socialising will be allowed such as events,cinemas, etc etc.
I think essential public services like schools and dentists, employment offices and colleges will be first to open.
Stores (not supermarkets) probably will have to go online and home delivery only.
This will continue until next year.
