    No breed is more or less resistant to viral or bacterial infections.

    Probably the American shorthair. Not a single one has been infected by the Corona Virus yet, even though the epidemic is much more severe in the USA than in Hong Kong and much of Europe. Two domestic cats in Hong Kong and one in Belgium have contracted the virus and they are probably not the American shorthair.

    To my knowledge, no breed is any more or less susceptible than any other. Resistance to contagious illness is not a trait that has been selected for, and lifestyle, vaccination status, overall health, and diet is a larger factor in any case.
