Trump does not want a war with Iran or any other country. He does, however, want to stop Iran from building an atomic bomb. As an alternative to war with Iran, Trump has placed sanctions against Iran and its' leaders. The Iranian people understand that their government is an "outlaw State" and promotes revolution in Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and other states in the Middle East. Iran's response to the sanctions is to goad the US into military action. In that way, Iran's leaders will tell the population that they are living in poverty because of Trump. And that their poverty is not caused by military adventurism on the part of their theocratic leaders.

Evidently you haven't been paying attention.  Iran has been at war with the US since 1979.  They've been waiting for America to shoot back for the last 40 years, long before Trump got elected.

Because he’s a war mongering, arrogant, megalomaniac. It’s the American way.

Maybe because having a 19 year long war in Afghanistan and bombing the Middle East back to the stone age is not enough carnage for him.

Or perhaps he is thinking of doing what he multiple times claimed Obama would do in order to get re-elected.

In order to get elected, @BarackObama will start a war with Iran.

Now that Obama’s poll numbers are in tailspin – watch for him to launch a strike in Libya or Iran.  He is desperate.

Don't let Obama play the Iran card in order to start a war in order to get elected--be careful Republicans!

Obviously he has considered that this is a measure which can help a sitting president get re-elected, there is nothing like war fever to rally the masses around the leader and flag, many have done it before.

If Trump believed such an action would ensure Obama's re-election in 2012 and now his own approval rating is lower than Obama's were at the time, maybe he sees this as his way of detracting from his disastrous handling of the pandemic and riding to victory on that landslide he was on about this week.

It's a headlong dive to wipe out as many people as possible in the shortest possible time.

Think about who profits in the endgame....all those pensions unclaimed.

The yanks have been brainwashed to hate Iran by their Zionist media and large Israeli Lobby's that operate out there, he knows that will appeal to the masses
