For phone scams why doesn’t the gift card company track which account redeemed the gift cards or is it not as easy as it seems?
I haven’t been scammed I’m just saying.
If that was possible would the company that the gift card was for (ITunes for example) help victims get their money back

The gift card company is not interested in working because people are idiots. And the money is gone shortly after the fraud occurs.
I had a scammer open an amazon account in my name and charge $50 on some kind of gift card. I disputed the charge, called amazon and had them shut the account down. Did not cost me anything. Except having to wait on another card.
