Why are Jesus/God believers so confused ?

Why can't they understand that according to the Trinity if Jesus is God then be was praying to himself.

    Son, Daughter,  GOD did not base his Trinity for himself .  There would be no need for God to teach himself.  God uses the Trinity for the sole purpose of having to bring a part of himself to earth to show his love for us.

    While I truly think none of this is as important as knowing and understand the "Why" of God's Trinity, God is not impressed that you or may not understand this issue, but rather that we understand HIS LOVE for us.

    God does not want us to debate his love or argue over who's right or wrong,  God will show you and I all that before we move on to His Kingdom.

    Imagine, our LORD, looking down on Egypt about 500 BCE, and seeing all the sin and decadence and depravity and ignorance that Egypt can hold. Now, imagine a GOD who knows HE cannot descend on Egypt  as an entity because as an our LORD , God, he knows that when he descends upon us , it will be the finality of us.  You only have to observe Moses and what it did to him in his walk on the Mount to receive God's Laws. Image, now,  God knowing he could send a messenger, Jesus . to come and roam the earth and be the example of God/ Man without sin, to die for mankind.

    This is what I believe and this is what God has shown me in a dream to explain why God sent  an Anointed ONE .

    And if that's not sufficient, as yourself , "What is the Holy Spirit".  I think you know the Holy Spirit is not human.  I think you know the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God speaking as a go-between for God and man.

    Jesus was on earth as a man, praying to His Father, God, in Heaven.

    Because, even their scholars and bible experts admit,

    'One can not understand the trinity, we can only believe it.'

    Or as one pro-trinity website states:

    "The Trinity is a controversial doctrine; many Christians admit they don't understand it, while many more Christians don't understand it but think they do.

    In fact, although they'd be horrified to hear it, many Christians sometimes behave as if they believe in three Gods and at other times as if they believe in one."

    This web page goes on to say:

    "Scripture and the Trinity

    For obvious reasons the Trinity is not referred to in the Old Testament . . . The New Testament of the Bible never explicitly refers to the Trinity as such"

    This web site even admits:

    "This idea that three persons add up to one individual seems like nonsense. And logically, it is.

    So Christians don't try to understand the doctrine of the Trinity logically"

    From their many answers and comments, they have proved your question to be true.

    You're confused by your assumption that 'different' means "separate", and your misunderstanding the intended meaning by the term, 'God'.  A 'Supreme Being' would have to be 'omnipresent', and expressed in all forms in the natural occurring world.  As there are cycles and hierarchies in nature, it is also with Divinity; otherwise, it would contradict God as 'The Supreme'.

    All levels serve higher levels that are above it, and keep lower levels in order, which is how an 'Eternal God' would sustain Himself.

    We were created in the image of God. Angels, fallen or not, were NOT created in the image of God.

    Gen 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

    Psa 82:6-7 I said, “You are Elohim, sons of the Most High, all of you; nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince.”

    We have a body of flesh, a spirit given to us by God, and a soul which is the person we are. Our flesh is not our spirit, our spirit is not our soul, and our soul is not our flesh. Yet we are ONE person.

    So too, God the Father is not God the Son, God the Son is not God the Holy Spirit, and God the Holy Spirit is not God the Father. Yet He is ONE God.

    The problem we encounter is when we try to wrap our finite minds around an infinite God we fail because we simply cannot fully comprehend Him.

    Eph 4:4  (God the Holy Spirit) There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

    Eph 4:5  (God the Son) One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

    Eph 4:6  (God the Father) One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

    i) God, the Father reconciled the world to Himself. 2 Co 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

    ii) The Lord Jesus came to redeem us from sin. Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

    iii) The Holy Spirit washed and regenerated us. Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

    1 Th 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit (1) and soul (2) and body (3) be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    No more than you, talking to your father, are talking to yourself.

    No, He wasn't, because according to the Trinity Jesus and the Father are two entirely separate divine Persons.

    The fact of the matter: No, God is one God but within God there is three persons, God The Father, God The son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, God the Holy Ghost, One God, Three persons in the Godhead bodily, I will give you an example with fire, God is a fire, one fire, but within the fire you have flame, light, and heat, if you take any one of those elements away from fire you don't have fire, it is the same with God, if you take God The Father, God The son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, God The Holy Ghost, if you take one of those away you do not have God, because they are One God but three persons in the Godhead bodily. read Genesis 1:26, read John 14:26, read John 15:26, read Colossians 1:19, read Colossians 2:9, read 1 John 5:7, read 1 John 5:8

    "God" is not anybody's name, Rolando. Jesus was Talking to the Father when he prayed, yet they are both of the divine "oneness" we call God.
