What do you consider to be the top core values that children should be taught by their parents? ?

I'm raising one of my own and notice the short comings of parents on a large scale. Things like basic manners to emotional instability tied to social media for example. So my question is what are the fundamental lessons that kids need to understand about life to equip them for the real world? Rattle them off,  list in order of priority, or just take a moment to tell me your number one. Maybe it's something that you had to learn the hard way. Thanks for your time and input.

Tolerance is number one for me. If tolerance was more common then a lot of society’s problems like racism, gender inequality, religious persecution etc would get better. Kindness is second. Kindness towards people, animals and nature. Respect, gratitude, humility, curiosity and healthy self esteem as well as manners tend to make a pretty well rounded adult. I taught all my kids kindness and gentleness with animals and nature first as toddlers. Once they learned this everything is easy to instill.
