Should I ask my boss?

So it’s been 90 days since I started working.  I want to ask my boss if I can take one day off on Memorial Day weekend.

Also, since I’m salaried, I don’t get paid for overtime. And I have to work few hours on the holiday.

So can I ask if I can take day off and ask if I’m getting paid for working on holiday?

With a salary they are under no obligation to pay you anything extra for overtime or time worked on a Holiday.  Sometimes employers make some accommodations with bonus pay or comp time.  You can definitely ask your boss, but don't be surprised if they answer back "It's all built into your Salary".

Memorial Day is a federal holiday. You should get the day off.

Start the conversation with, "Hey... do we get Memorial Day off?"
