LGBT: Do you believe that adult/minor sexual relationships will become legal or at least ignored someday?
It seems like pedophilia is gradually on the rise in my opinion.
With the way our society is becoming, it seems to me that someday adult/minor sex will either become legal or ignored.
Pedos argue that as long as the child isn't being tortured or physically injured, then there is nothing wrong with it.
Pedophilia is especially rampant among older teens. No one is sure as to what is causing it.
What do you think?

I have to disagree, I feel that pedophilia has become less accepted with time. young girls would be married off to adult men very frequently in the past and no one would bat an eye. If I'm not mistaken, I think Elvis's first wife was 14 years old and he was in his early 20s and no one remembers him as a pedophile. If there's any kind of resurgence, I'd guess it would be from the fact that pedophiles can now find other pedophiles on the internet, making them feel like it's normal and acceptable, not to mention that the internet makes it easier to prey on young people. There's actually a whole group that calls themselves MAPs (minor-attracted people) on the internet and it's really gross. Most people don't like them though.

The LGBT community is not accepting of adult child sex. Anyone who gets off with young children need to be punished.

No and there was actually a time when age of consent laws did not exist. The bigger reason is the fact that minors genitalia is not as big as an adults genitalia so a child can not handle penetrative sex so it would indeed hurt the child. I could see them making it okay at 16 but we would need to recognize that a 16 year old is an adult and can decide for themselves. In most US states the age of consent is 16 usually as long as it's less than a 4 year age difference since you're considered an adult at 18 you can be with someone way older than you at that age because that is the time we see that people can make adult choices at 18. Also a child can't overpower an adult so to let this be legal would also be a dangerous situation because then the adult might not understand limit and a child wouldn't be able to stop it. When I'm saying like maybe 16 would be okay really I didn't really change that much from 16 to 18 mentally so to me a 16 year is mentally an adult and can make choices but I also say respect the law. I'm 20 by the way so I'm legal in my state if I date a 16 year old. Also another thing a 21 year can buy alcohol so underage drinking could be going on in the relationship.

Child sex was never illegal anywhere until recently. Until early last century there were no laws protecting children from anything, and all forms of child exploitation were common, at least behind closed doors.
Cultures tend to evolve and become enlightened, not devolve, so except for some isolated areas or in the case of the collapse of civilization into anarchy, I don't see legal child sex making a comeback. I do see the possibility of less harsh, one-size-fits-all, draconian, jail-the-SOB-for-life laws, though.
ETA: When young children and adults are involved, there can be no assurance that the child's participation was truly consensual. Of course, that can be true of many adult couples.

No. But the age of consent should stay 16, as it currently is in most states, as well as Canada and the UK.

Adult/minor sexual relationships aren’t pedophilia unless the minor is before the age of puberty. The age of consent may become lowered to 16 in most states.

I don't think pedophilia will ever be accepted because too many pedophiles are molesters. There are lots of very out and above board ways for adults to become involved with children, but not on an intimate level. Children need mentors who will guide them into healthy adulthood. But far too often these seemingly legitimate people (priests, scout leaders, sports coaches) cross the line and destroy a person sense of self worth.

I sure wish you had provided some creditable links supporting your observations.
No one I know has eased his view on pedophilia.

Although this corrupt system has failed to ensure that all children are given a loving home and a secure future, our Creator will soon eliminate every kind of perversity and promiscuity, including child prostitution. Soon, surprisingly for the world, Jehovah God will intervene in human affairs by means of his Kingdom. Corrupters and exploiters will not escape divine judgment. Only people who love their fellowmen will survive to live in God’s new world.

No - it won't. I don't know where you get your statistics from, but I don't believe you're right.
Paedophiles do terrible damage - physical and mental - to their victims. All intelligent people know and understand this.
