Is it true that if you are a drug using drunk and a lazy bum that your kids will be drug using drunks and lazy bums too?

If the parents are drug using drinking idiots then there is a much high chance, for the kids to follow in the parents footsteps. It's what they know, all they know. If some responsible adult becomes a role model , manages to reach and teach those kids before it is too late. Then the kids have a much greater chance of breaking the cycle.

no. I know plenty of people who had alcoholic parents or drug abusers and most of them turned out to be productive members of society. not saying all but I know many who did.
