Why would Windows 10 slow down my internet?
Have a system with 2 SSD drives that are mirror imaged. Upgraded win7 to win10 on one drive. Direct cat5 cable to router gives speeds of 40-80 d/l and as low as 0 u/l. Booted win7 from ghosted drive and get speeds over 200/200. Any ideas would be appreciated. Even stranger, under Win7 using wireless is slightly slower than direct connect but under Win 10, wireless is actually a little faster.
I realize that with win8 microsoft took a giant step backward and win10 was a patch to correct it. It definitely runs slower than win7 by about 10%. I am happy staying with win7 but support and updates are gone. Slowly some apps have stopped working. I can't believe everyone with win10 is seeing this kind of major slowdown so it has to be something on my end.

Windows 10 might be updating or sharing updates to other computers across the internet if you have enabled this option

Strange. speeds shouldn't differ technically but I suspect 10 is doing something else behind your back that's eating the bandwidth that's why I still use XP.
