Why would women have more power in non-mainstream religions?

Who is it that gave them this power?

In all religions women must be subject to the law of God, and of men.

They don't.

In cults like the jehovah's witnesses, women are treated like door mats.

Power to what?  Power is overrated.

If you've ever been in an enterprise with a woman in power, you know generally how awful a situation that is.  Women run on emotion, not on logic.

Because men with power in society would want to keep those religions down.  That's how male-dominated religions become mainstream.
