Did dragons exist in the ancient world but went extinct ?

    I believe they did but in imagination ancient humans must have come across Dinosaur skeletons after earthquakes and such and these huge heads like  in our museums now  must have helped create the myth , but its only my belief as it seems logical

    The fire breathing things of fiction that fly... nope.  Fictional.

    Things like komodo dragons, yup they are real.

    maybe dragons are our instinctual memory of dinosaurs or birds of prey when we were smaller ; just like how we are naturally afraid of spiders and snakes
