I lied about engagement ring and now I don’t know what to do?
I told my friend that my fiancé got the ring from zales even though it was from a local jeweler because I wanted it to be a special place that our friends didn’t know about. Now I regret telling her that it was from zales because she thinks the “chain stores” are cheaper quality rings but now idk if I should tell her it’s actually not from zales or just leave it alone?

In the grand scheme of life none of this really matters. So maybe just let it go. It doesn't really matter if your friend thinks your ring is cheaper quality. Honestly, this is not a measure of your fiancé's love for you or a marker of your value as a human being. If she's a real friend it won't matter to her what you're wearing on your finger.

Let her know that you mispoke as you looked at so many rings, you were confused.
This is a lesson on manipulation. You tried to manipulate her thoughts by telling her a lie. That backfired, didn't it?
When you grow up and mature a bit, you probably will not have the need to lie about such silly matters.

you are a terrible friend. as if it matters if she wants the same ring.... this question is a bit different from your last question
if the ring looks cheap, that's not a good sign.

You should stop lying.

You should go back and read the answers you got the last time you asked this question. Also, I thought you told her it came from Zales so that there would be "no risk of copying."

Ignore it. Nobody cares where you got the ring and none of your friends are going to care by the time next week rolls around.

I don't know why it matters where you got the ring from. It's a symbol of his love /commitment to you.A ring is a ring whether it's a $100 ring from walmart or a 10k ring from Birks.Just tell your friend you made a mistake and he got it from your local jeweler if it makes you feel better.

First, the obvious: if you're lying about something like where you bought a ring, that's a sign of a serious character deficiency. You need to cut that our before it trainwrecks your marriage.
I think you should be honest, tell the truth, apologize, explain why you did it, and move on.
