Should badgers be culled in areas where hedgehogs are at risk extinction?

It is a fact that badgers (not at risk of extinction) eat hedgehogs (at risk of extinction in the UK). I've noticed that hedgehogs have disappeared from my garden since badgers started visiting. Isn't it time to start culling badgers to protect our hedgehogs?

Much as I hate to say it as I love hedgehogs, but nature should be allowed to take it's course.

No. Badgers aren't the problem it us humans being.  99% of the time decline in native species is due to humans.  Our wildlife is at danger because more and more of our woodlands , farmland etc are being built on. Gardens are being lost to wildlife as people are putting down fake lawns, decking etc. And building fence with no place for wildlife like hedgehogs to be able to get thought into gardens. Hedgehogs are at risk because of us .

It sure sounds like it to me . The badger's natural predator has been removed so their numbers may need to be controlled . They could be trapped and moved but that may be spreading disease . The wildlife in the US is somewhat controlled by limits on harvest numbers . Probably the same as UK .
