Would you be happy if your husband kept taking you on holidays and parties during the first few years of marriage before you became pregnant?

His rationale for this is because you want at least 3-4 kids,he will not be able to afford holidays and parties once the kids came along.

If we could afford it, it would be fine. I'd want to save a good amount of money as well for the family, but a few trips would be okay.

My parents traveled extensively once they retired, so just having kids doesn't mean you will never travel.

Your question is confusing, but it sounds like your husband wants to travel and enjoy doing things together as a couple before you settle down and have kids. As long as you and he can afford that, I don't see anything wrong with it. You don't have to stop traveling or going on dates when you have kids, but it will be different, and may sometimes including the added expense of paying for babysitting.
