Isn’t the term minorities racist?

Everyone but whites are called minorities giving the implication that whites are the majority but there’s no data that has been conducted proving how many whites are on Planet Earth so they may not be the majority. It just proves how the world thinks of someone who isn’t white as second place.

I was a minority when I lived in Panama and when I worked in the Middle East and Asia.  It's not inherently racist though some use it in that manner.

No because everyone is a member of SOME minority.  For example, men are a minority in the USA: 165.9 million women compared to 159.4 million men (2017).
