What's your take on the War on Drugs?

If you want to fill prisons so you can get paid - both with taxpayer money, with privatised prisons, and through using slave... I men 'involuntary' labour to produce products, justify militarised police forces and appeal to pearl clutching moralists

 then the war on drugs is FANTASTIC.If you want to reduce crime, reduce drug use, weaken cartels, increase public health? It's stupid and pointless.

A complete waste of time.

Usa should follow the portuguese model of drug control 

The war on drugs is both a pointless waste of taxpayer resources and one of the only things that democrat and republican politicians in Washington can agree on.  

Some " wars " never end , the war on bugs , the war on gophers , the war on raccoons in the attic , the war on weeds and the " war on drugs " .

Doesn't mean we just give up . In some instances just mitigating the damage done is a victory in itself .
