CBD for my daughter?

I've heard CBD can help with a a lot of different ailments. Plus it's totally legal. My daughter is 14 and she hasn't really learned how to handle pressure and stress. So she suffers from anxiety and even panic attacks. She's had bloodwork done and there's nothing medically wrong with her. Her therapist recommends a psychiatrist. I'm worried that she'll get put on a strong pharmaceutical. Would you consider giving your 14 yr. old CBD gummies to help her with the stress of the pandemic and distance learning and all that other BS?

Medical cannabis and cbd has many benefits and there are toddlers and children that have hundreds of  seizures that have had their lives changed from it. I would seek out a medical cannabis Dr depending on if it's legal in your state to get more information. There are oils dropped under the tongue that might be more appropriate. Antidepressants and benzos are dangerous and are suppose to be used for severe mental illness and short term not young developing minds, as adult with diagnosed anxiety, clinical depression that has tried those meds I can say it made me worse.

As a med marijuana patient I can say it's safer and it helps but most cbd is thc free so I don't know why some of the commenters were talking crazy as hell to you...they don't know what they are talking about and Medical marijuana and cbd is approved in some states for CHILDREN that have certain conditions.

I would strongly recommend that you consult with your daughter's physician about any health related matters and potential treatments whether they be prescription or OTC. In the case of CBD, while it is not meant to treat any conditions, it can interact with numerous medications.

The only drug containing CBD that has been approved for adults or children is Epidiolex, which is currently the only known treatment for two rare and devastating forms of childhood epilepsy: Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.

Why aren't you asking your PCP?

Talk about BS!  Your lack of parenting skills are certainly THAT!

YOU WANT TO GIVE YOUR KID POT INSTEAD OF PROFESSIONAL, LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH CARE TO CURE HER!  I've head it all!

    1)  Sure, pot may be legal, but NO DOCTOR WOULD PRESCRIBE CANNABIS FOR AN EMOTIONAL OR MENTAL ILLNESS BECAUSE IT MAKES THE SYMPTOMS WORSE!  (Got this?  Your daughter's problems will get WORSE.)

    2)  As parents, it's OUR JOB to teach our children the coping skills and life skills they need to grow into independent, self-reliant and responsible adults.  Obviously, you can't teach her and instead you want to give her pot.  So what is your problem with letting a licensed psycho therapist teach her these important life skills if you can't or won't?

You're actually afraid that she may need a short term course of medication with therapy to get over this so you want to feed her pot?

Someone should report you to the Child Protective Agency in your state.

Besides, your healthcare insurance will pay for her therapy but not for the pot.

    Hello,

I can't believe people are so rude to you. There are, however, tried and trusted techniques to manage anxiety and defuse a panic attack. CAMHS should be able to point your daughter in the right direction for a nurse or psychologist trained in these techniques, which are self-empowering. It's worth asking about CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) to get a fuller picture. Good luck to you and her.

This is something you can talk about with the therapist or the psychiatrist. About CBD, it's new and there are questions about it that haven't been answered. You should know about the different things that can help with panic disorder. I'll show you an answer with details -

So a Mother wants to her give her child, and that is what she is,

    Drugs

    At 14

Think about it, the next thing you will find in a few years time is a girl who cannot cope without mind bending drugs.

no i wouldn't as it's illegal for you too do that as it's child endangerment and you could lose your child and go too jail
