  • Is it a good idea to add debt during a divorce to reduce the alimony I'll have to pay?

This seems a little underhanded. But the debt would be for something I truly need (new car). Basically, I'm asking if I should wait to get that car after the divorce? Or should I get it now when I actually HAVE the money? Reducing alimony would just be a by-product.

  • Divorce on the horizon. Should I wait for that new car?

Me and her getting a divorce. Shes been out of the house since late September. I've still been supportive financially as she doesn't work. So I know I'll be paying alimony. I've actually been giving her MORE then what I'm likely to pay in alimony. My truck is really starting to nickel and dime me. Need something new. Would it be smarter to wait until after the divorce or to hit the dealership before?

  • Who pays for her lawyer?

The wife and I are getting a divorce. I've hired an attorney to fight for me and my daughter. She says she's getting one also but hasn't. If she does, who pays for hers? I'm already paying for mine but she doesn't work. THX.

  • For bearded dragon owners: I supplement my 5 month old dragon with Reptivite w/ D3 powder by ZooMed. How much should I be using?

The bottle says to give 12 dusted crickets per week for every 2.5 oz. of body weight. I have no idea how much he weighs. He looks to be of good weight and he's 11-12 inches long including the tail. I'm gonna pick up a scale for him. But in the meantime how many crickets should I be dusting each day? Would it be bad for him if he got too much? Thanks.

  • Is it legal to change locks on a house if your wife leaves and says she is never coming back?

Wife is abusive to our daughter. I asked her to leave. She left and stated she's never coming back. Can I change the locks so that she can't show up while I'm at work and hurt our daughter. Her name is on the deed. I applied for a restraining order but was denied so legally she can come back any time.

  • CBD for my daughter?

I've heard CBD can help with a a lot of different ailments. Plus it's totally legal. My daughter is 14 and she hasn't really learned how to handle pressure and stress. So she suffers from anxiety and even panic attacks. She's had bloodwork done and there's nothing medically wrong with her. Her therapist recommends a psychiatrist. I'm worried that she'll get put on a strong pharmaceutical. Would you consider giving your 14 yr. old CBD gummies to help her with the stress of the pandemic and distance learning and all that other BS?

  • 18 speed mountain bike problems?

New mountain bike made by Hyper(?) 18 speeds w/ front and rear suspension. The problems are:

    1. It doesn't like staying in 6th. Chain keeps hopping onto 5th and sometimes 4th. Then it won't shift to a different gear. Have to physically move the chain by hand.

    2. The brakes are really loud. Embarrassingly loud.

Are there common causes for these issues?

  • New mountain bike?

Bought 2 new mountain bikes from Wal-Mart yesterday (maybe a mistake). Anyway, one was a $98 RoadMaster 18 speed, which rides great. The other was an 18 speed Hyper(?) for $124. It's got suspension on the front fork and rear wheel. It rides like crap. It changes gears on its own. When it does, you cant shift out of the gear it went into. You have to stop and physically move the chain to another sprocket. The brakes vibrate and are really loud. One of the front brake pads rub all the time. Is this bike worth keeping? Are there small adjustments I can make to fix these issues or should I return it. If I do return it, should I go with a different brand or hope the next Hyper is better on exchange?

  • No heat on the driver's side?

'00 Buick Park Avenue. When running the heater, the 2 passenger side vents are nice and hot. The windshield vent is hot. The passenger side footwell is hot. The driver's side footwell and the 2 vents on the front of the dash are only blowing ambient (cold this time of year). What could cause this and how to fix it?

  • Gas pedal stuck to the floor on ETC vehicle Forced Idle/Reduced Power Mode?

'03 Isuzu Rodeo 3.2 V6 2wd w/ 150k. Started it the other day and a check engine and reduced power light. I've had the reduced power light before but never w/ a check engine also. Checked the code, p1290 - forced idle mode. I pulled out of the driveway and rolled around my neighborhood a bit. Pressing the gas pedal did nothing. I floored it and the pedal stayed depressed completely without my foot on it. I turned around and limped home. Barely made it up into the driveway. Turned the truck off and the pedal popped back out. Got in it today, still had the check engine but the reduced power light is gone and its runs fine. No throttle cable. It's electronic. "Possible fixes" are new throttle body/ ETC, new ECM, new TPS or new Accel pedal position sensor. Of course wiring could be causing it also. What would you look at first and what's more likely. Don't wanna throw parts at this intermitten issue. THX.

  • Intermitten slow blinker?

00 Buick Park Avenue, 1 blinker works fine. The other blinks slow or will just stay solid lit up. The switch behind the dash clicks slowly. But when the blinker is solid, the switch clicks like it should. There are 4 bulbs for each side (2 front 2 rear) when the blinker is turned on. The 2 in the rear flash together and the 2 in front alternate. All bulbs are working. When I turn on the hazards, (without the blinker on)1 side operates normally while the slow side still flashes slow or just lights up and stays on. All bulbs are working. I hope all this makes sense. Any idea what could be causing this?

  • 03 Isuzu Rodeo V6. I think I fixed a problem but now my AC button is like turbo!?

Little backstory. My temp gauge was intermittently dropping all the way to the Cold mark even though everything was at operating temp. I started carrying a Bluedriver around everywhere I went to try to capture some live data. The needle buried in the C on a drive one day, the data reported my coolant temp was coming in at 18 degrees! Next day (today), I replaced the coolant temp sensor. Hopefully that took care of the problem (like I said, it was intermittent). But now, as soon as I turn my AC on, my engine speed jumps to about 1500 rpm. It'll get up to 35 mph without even touching the gas pedal! The brakes don't like being in a parking lot or at a red light, so I turn the AC off and the tach drops back to about 700 which is normal. It wasn't doing this before the new temp sensor. WTF?

  • Could a bad coolant temp sensor be my problem?

Can a faulty coolant temp sensor cause my '03 Rodeo 2wd with the 3.2 V6 to intermittently run like crap? When it happens the Idle bounces. Pressing the gas has no effect at all. I ask about the coolant temp sensor because the needle on the temp gauge falls all the way to the C. Strangely, If I'm running the A.C., turning the heater on will sometimes correct the issue. Last time it happened, I turned on the heater and it didn't help. When I turned the A.C. back on, it instantly corrected the problem. No check engine light either. I've had it scanned and nothing was stored.

  • 03 Isuzu Rodeo 3.2 V6 2 wd w/ 145K long crank time w/ high idle and temp gauge on Cold?

During hot months and intermittently, after driving for awhile then shutting off to go in the store (for example). It takes about 5 secs of cranking to get it started. Once started, the idle bounces between 1800 and 2200 rpm for about a minute then settles down to a high idle of about 1000 (700 is normal). My temp gauge is buried in the cold (I was only in the store for 10 minutes and it had been at operating temp). It s drivable like this but has very little power off the line. Strange thing: I turned the heater on full blast for about 10 sec. and when I turn the heat off, the temp gauge went back to normal, the idle also went back to normal and it started running good again. ANY IDEAS??

  • ONLY FOR THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN TO THE GRAND CANYON...?

We've had a trip to the Grand Canyon planned for a while now. My wife, daughter and I are looking forward to it. My daughter injured her leg and is on crutches. Is the Grand Canyon still enjoyable if you can't hike?

  • Bumpy, red patches on both elbows / knees?

For about 3 years now, I've had red patches of bumps on both elbows and both knees. It feels sooo good to scratch but burns like heck when I stop. I can't even get on my knees to work in the garden or play with the dog without irritating it. Or lounge in the bed propped up on one elbow. Hot water flares it up. When it's flared up, warm water feels like scalding hot. It seems to be far more irritable in the hot months. It's not as bad in the cold months but if I scratch in those areas it bubbles right back up again. What is it and how in the heck can I treat it?

  • CAR BUYING HELP PLZ.?

Here's the situation, I've got about 5K to put down. If necessary I can put 6K. I can also trade in a car that's paid off (maybe worth $1500 - 2K tops) and fortunately, my credit score is excellent. Ive been with the same employer for 15 yrs.Taking all this into consideration, would it be smarter to go through my bank (been with them for 18 yrs)? Or is it a better idea to go to a credit union? Or should I just go to a dealership and use their finance department? Ready to buy but nervous about messing this up and getting stuck with an arrangement that I hate after a few months. Plz help. Thx.
