Yard tractors?

I recently bought 2 husqvarna yard tractors, The guy I bought them from said they’d sat for about a year and at least half of that was outside uncovered in Florida so you know it’s gotten it’s fair share of rain and storms, one is a yth2448 and the other is a yth2148, both have Briggs and Stratton intek v twin motors, both had rats nests on the right head behind the fuel pump, after cleaning those off I sprayed fuel in the intake and verified they both run but the fuel is not getting from the tank to the carb or even the fuel filter on either mower, I’ve since replaced the fuel pumps but it’s still not working, ruled out gas cap and fuel lines aren’t plugged (was able to run compressed air through) the only thing I’m not sure about is the vacuum line from the valve cover to the fuel pump, it doesn’t have any cracks or anything in it but when I crank the engine instead of having vacuum, it blows out air. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to or not but if it is supposed to blow instead of make vacuum, how much air should I blow out because it doesn’t have much pressure to it. Any ideas? I’m at a loss of what would be wrong and causing this to BOTH mowers.

Get the engines to run longer to get the new fuel from the tank to the carb.  You are not moving the good gasoline through the system.  It takes longer than you think it does.  Also, be sure the choke is in the right position to start.
