 I was asked Sunday morning at church what’s the difference between UK English and US English i didnt know do you?

    they say certain words different that are not meant to be different and confuse and mix up the day date and year.

    The accent for one.  Then some words are different.  What Americans call the trunk of a car, the English call the boot.  There are many more examples.  Also spelling of some words.

    the british say ask and the yanks say aks......that's one difference

    It is really not that different in the written version except for difference is certain words like we say "TV" and they tend to say "Telly". The big difference seems to be the accents in the UK are much stronger and some really hard to understand. In the US there are accent differences but they are all more understandable

    UK English has an accent due to its people’s bad teeth. You hear like a lisp when they pronounce the s sound. Instead of hearing sound, you heard sspound.

    the differences are subtle. you'd have to have lived in each country for a while to understand.

    UK English arrogantly calls itself "the King's English". Oh, and the gayassaccent.
