Polyester blend couch and dog urine?
Hello I was wondering what is the best way to get rid of dog urine on a black polyester couch? My buddies dog came over and peed on the side while we were out for about 2 hours. I dabbed it with a towel used some water, dish soap, and vinegar. I'm letting dry now but want to know if it's safe to use arm & hammer odor spray on the spot for a black polyester couch. I don't want to fade it.

Soak up as much urine as possible from the upholstery. Liberally sprinkle baking soda on the stain, and let it sit for 5 minutes. The baking soda will help deodorize the stain. In a spray bottle or other container, mix equal parts water and distilled white vinegar. That should do it. I try to stay away from harsh chemicals. And, having kids (and a cat), I keep a queen size bed sheet on the couch and whip it off before I have company over.
