Is it too late to overseed?

Ok so I live in central Ontario Canada and I have patches all over my lawn that is desperate need of new seed. I've been waiting for fall to come but where I live the weather droped quicker than I anticipated. The nightly low can hit 3°C/37°F and in the morning there is a faint bit of frost on the lawn. My question will light frost affect the grass seed. Is it ok to go ahead and overseed the patches I need to or should I just wait until spring time?

I would wait until all danger of frost has passed. Sprouting grass seed will die in frost.
