Who believes that remote work is here to stay?

Not sure that having married couples being constantly together working from home and afterwards won't rip marriages apart.It already has had detrimental side effects.

Working actually was a way for a spouse to get some alone time.

Also spousal abuse has gone up during the pandemic.

In the short term they can save, but over time team cohesion will decay

Please be quiet.

For many working from home may stay.  Its great for commuters who days are made so much longer with their commute to work everday. Its means they can have a much better family , work balance . Which is great for their mental , physical health. They also can save thousands of pounds every year .  Companies will also be able to save millions in rent etc as they can reduce the office space they need. It is likely many companies may let employees chose if they want to come back into the office full time or just want to come in when something can't be done from home.  

Think of all the electricity your using when working from home.  Plus many people will feel isolated and this could affect their mental health, especially if they live alone.

Perhaps the Companies that have empty Office buildings should make them into town houses instead.  

It is here to stay for parts of some industries, as long as the bosses think it works. Employees like it because they do not have to commute, so they can live anywhere. 

Long term many employees will not be so happy as they are replaced by cheaper workers in other parts of the world. With remote working, employers can hire from any country and pay lower wages for qualified people.

This is the new normal.

Of course the next step is they say, why do we need to employ workers from our country at all?
