Have republicans ever seen a debate before last night?

I’ve seen debate since the late 70s, but never have I seen a debate that was so biased and poor in its moderation.   Both Biden and a Trump were terrible, but only because Wallace let them get away with it.    

My grandparents listened to pre-Depression era debates on the radio. 

Last night wasn't a debate. It was a clown show because of Trump's behaviour!

We've seen the kind where Democrat candidates are fed the questions before the debate, yes. Last night, Trump put an end to that kind of liberal Nerf Ball.

Aside to anonymous - there were no presidential debates prior to 1960.

they still haven't seen one.  That wasn't a debate.  That was a circus.  Everything Trump does is a freaking circus.  He has made the U.S. a joke.

- Many of us have gone back to watch/listen-to debates dating back to the fifties. 

- Every election year, the debates resonate with the political climate at the time. 

- By 2016, the people were so fed up with fakes, plastic and wax in politics, they voted for someone real, even if he had some sharp edges. 

- We're hardly ready to go back to the plastic and wax.  

---- Correction: There were debates dating back to at least Lincoln/Douglas.
