Over 200,000 Americans have died of COVID-19 in a space of about 7 months. Even the President of the US has been struck down by the virus. It remains to be seen if he survives. Sounds terrible to me.

It has been for many elderly people, especially those who are in poor health.

it's more serious than the flu, but you can recover from it.

It can be largely preventable with common sense but most people think it's no big deal. If you do happen to develop bad symptoms and require hospital care in the ICU or extended stay you can survive sure but you better have top quality insurance because if you don't you'll be financially ruined.

Because it is.  It's not just about the death toll, many who have had the virus are still poorly months later
