Do you think restricting little children from paranormal/supernatural beliefs would actually help to save the day?

Would that show that one is doing the right thing?

Update:

...or is it going to ruin their lives?

Children should be taught the best knowledge available, so that eliminates teaching them that paranormal/supernatural beliefs. It ruins people's lives to be taught to believe nonsense. They will become like English Gaijin, Hunter and Tom. No one sane should want that.

Children should be taught truths found by Science, and Logic, rather than such lies as paranormal/supernatural. It certainly not ruin lives to know truths, rather than lies. Obi Wan Knievel, David Icke and Sylvia Browne are con artists from whom people need protection, so that not gives these frauds lots of money. Religion torture and kill hundreds of millions of people in history. Some religions also create feelings of guilt and fear and cause neuroses or psychoses to make people give much money and total power to clergymen. I say that is grave threat to all humans. Gary K, people should have no beliefs, since beliefs are ideas accepted as true with inadequate evidence or are even contrary to evidence. Plato write of Philosopher Kings. We need them, rather than criminals who are professional politicians.

Save the day from what?  Or who?  You kind of totally forgot to say that part.

Is David Icke or Sylvia Browne actually threatening to take over somewhere?  Is there a group of 80's metal fans putting a massive terrorist plot together?  What kind of threat, exactly, do we need saving from?

And don't say religion is the threat, because that's total bull shift.  Religions have existed in this world for over ten thousand years, and our species is still standing.  Any threat that takes that long to manifest is no threat at all.

If I ever have kids, I'll teach them that paranormal/supernatural beliefs, especially religion are just Silly BS. Such beliefs ruin people's lives.

All information must be carefully controlled. Why let people think for themselves if they might see things differently than you do? We can't have that. 🐸

Yes, of course. Teaching kids to use reason and logic and not believe in foolishness is always good.

Gary K is right on this one.  Try to deliberately HIDE something will only make them more curious about it----Kids should learn by Cause and effect EXPERIENCE.

I don't know about "restricting". But parents do need to find a balance - they certainly should not require that their kids believe what they believe; rather let them work out for themselves what to believe while giving them the critical thinking tools they need to do so. It should be learning exercise.

Otherwise they may end up like EG.

Kids learn more from observing their parents than what they actually tell them. If a child has a numpty dad that thinks that ghosts are real and that they spend their time trudging around in duffel coats then the offspring is likely to grow up with a  similarly poor grasp on reality.

Being delusional might not entirely ruin their lives but more rational people will certainly look down on them.

Nothing makes a child want to do something more than telling them they can't do it. We can't and shouldn't restrict them, but they do need to learn and practice Critical Thinking. Once they do that, most will be woo-woo proof.
