Native Americans Do You Ever Get Annoyed Or Confused When People Call You Indian? ?

I thought maybe Native Americans might get a little annoyed or confused, by why people keep calling Indian, when they’re not from India. Not that it is bad to be from there, but I see it leading to some confusion. Just wanted to see what you all think.

Indian is derived from the Roman Latin for Indigenous. It means "genus with in"

Indo is a Roman spelling of Endo, it means "with in" … it’s like In Rout vs. En Rout. Both are still used by English speakers to this day.

Bharat is not named India. It's one of the oldest "politically correct" terms out there. A Greek once called it India because he felt calling it Asia was disrespectfully to the Titan that land was named after, but other Greek documents don't.

Columbus' original letters were lost. But it's unlikely he ever used the term Indian.  I’m not going to bother explaining the translations because English speakers can't use language. It’s pointless to even bother.
