Why does MLB live in the past?

Today on the Braves  game the Announcers are talking about the 1995 World Series. No one cares during a broadcast on October 8 2020. NBA, NFL, NHL, FIFA, Ligue 1, EPL, La Liga, Serie A, Liga MX, MLS don't bring up the past, especially 25 years ago, during their broadcast. Also no one cares where a player is from or what school they went too. Just focus on the game at hand. This is one reason why people are done with Baseball. Keep the past on You Tube, Daily Motion, MLB website, not during the game.

Update:

No one is whining. MLB needs to get rid of Analytics. Managers who won go by their gut and memory. MLB does live in the past and the Announcers with the exception of the Dodgers, Giants, Cubs, White Sox Announcers live in the past. This is 2020. No one cares to know what happened 5, 10, 15, 25, 50 years ago. Some go back to talking about Babe Ruth era. That’s good but not during a live MLB broadcast.

Update 2:

@curtisports2-Don’t call me an “idiot.” I’ve been involved in Sports and Sports Media when you were in diapers getting potty trained. MLB lives in the past. Don’t you dispute me.

1995 is not that long ago.

You're an idiot. NBA, NFL and NHL announcers ALL refer to past champions and discuss background of players. Especially NBA and NFL, where a player's college was extremely important.

Yesterday you were whining about today's managers, begging for the past.

I forgot that Brady used to play for the Patriots and won Superbowls, because they never mention it.

Couldn't tell you if Lebron had been to the finals before, it's never talked about.

If the Packers and Chiefs meet in the Superbowl, you are going to be disappointed, because they'll mention that they played in the first one.

And obviously you care about the past, you want your managers pretending they still live there.
