No. You'll still end up on welfare and working at Walmart no matter what you do...

I think it's both funny and sad that the education system in our country has brainwashed kids into believing that they will have a 6 figure income by having a 4 year degree.

I went thru all that with my daughter when she went to college. She just HAD to go to school out of State instead of going just an hour north and be in State. She just HAD to major in fashion and dance. I did my best to talk her out of that, she told me "Dad, you just don't know how the real world works". She refused to work part-time and ran up almost $90K in loans.

She had to go to work as a waitress in a steak house.........no jobs for fashion or dance south of NYC. She did this for 18 months, went to the local community college and got an accounting degree and found a pretty good job afterwards.

As another answer to your question wrote, look into the trades. Welders make a great living, as do electricians, steel workers, plumbers, A/C techs, and diesel mechanics.

I spent my adult life in the military, both active and reserve. The Navy taught me to be a diesel mechanic, a/c tech, welder, heavy equipment operators, and a CDL truck driver.

I was able to use my Navy skills to work civilian jobs when I was in the reserves........and my employers loved my skills, organization, and leadership, and paid well. Look into the trades.

No but you have to have a high paying skill to get a high paying job. If you were a line cook in the military stay there because Denny's isn't going to pay you big bucks on the outside.

Nope, 28 years ago I retired from the US Navy and walked into a job paying $36,000 for an average of 25 hours a week plus free medical and retirement plan, plus 2 weeks paid vacation available after 6 months, vacation increased by 1 day a year starting after 2 years

No you do not, depending on your job in the military some can go straight into a job doing the same work. They will hire you because of the education and experience you have.

No.   Not if you pick the right job in the Military.   But the Right Job may require you to spend more time in the Military. Six or eight years for the Right Job.

Then when you complete your military service you will have the training and experience that employers want.

    Example:

    Navy Aviation Machinist Mate (AD)

Read about this job in more details here:

    That is just ONE example.
