Let T be
T = 1 + 1/2 + 1/2^2 + 1/2^3 + 1/2^4 + 1/2^5 + 1/2^6 + …
= 1/(1 - 1/2)
= 1/(1/2)
= 2
That is, S is absolutely convergent.
Therefore, S is convergent.
