Why can’t ppl seem to know the difference between a Disney character in the parks and cosplayers during halloween in WDW?

not a single Disney character within the 4 parks wear a face mask while working (like belle, sleeping beauty, jasmine, Peter Pan for example)

And when people dress up just for Halloween only they’re allowed to dress as Disney characters long as they don’t pose for photos and not act like the characters. Why can’t guests seem to know the difference.

I have done children’s theater. They believe.

But as an adult, you should be able to easily spot a non Disney cast members dressed as a character.   Not only do their costume and make not measure up, their attitude, posture, voice, words are a dead give away.

A lot of the guests are children, who wouldn't necessarily be expected to know.  And many guests may be there for the first time and don't know what the actual Disney characters played by cast members look like.
