Does anyone else think the outcome of the overall election is the best thing that could've happened for America?
Think about it... we will have a Democratic House, a Republican Senate, and a centrist President. Granted, not much real progress will be made, but at least we can get back to a sense of calm and normalcy. I am a Democrat, and I worried that if Democrats took control of the Senate it would've driven conservatives into a frenzy and grown division in the country further. Its time to heal, and Biden thus far has shown he is the leader that can heal us.

Obama was a moderate president, but what happened in his last 6 years when the Republicans had the Senate?
Absolutely nothing.
Trump in the debates crowed about how Obama had left so may Federal Judge positions open, leaving them for Trump to fill. . .
That is another Trump lie. Obama put forward judges for all those positions. What happened is that Mitch McConnel blocked them all.. the Merrick Garland fiasco was just the highest profile example of this.
The Republican party has been taken over by people who refuse to compromise, refuse to accept any view other than their own, refuse to accept any evidence that their dogmatic positions actually work (please, tell me one time when "trickle down" economics has worked - but these Republicans still think tax cuts for the Rich are the best idea, despite their consistent failure to work at state and federal levels)
With Republicans like McConnel in charge there can be no progress.
