How much does a first class airline ticket usually cost?

There is a HUGE price range over which a first class plane ticket can cost. There is a BIG difference in cost between a first class ticket on a domestic flight and a first class ticket on an international flight on an airline such as Emirates.

A first class plane ticket on a narrow body airliner on a domestic flight might only be a few thousand $, or even cheaper than $1000 depending on how many passengers there are and when you book. However, I've seen first class tickets on international flights on Emirates Airlines as expensive as $25,000+.

It rather depends on where you're going from and to. Long haul obviously costs more than short haul. 

That question is impossible to answer.  It's like asking how much a car costs.  A 1992 Corolla costs less than a 2020 Corvette, but they are both cars.

I flew for DC to Miami.  The tickets were $160 round trip (I got a great deal). When I did my online check in, I got an offer to upgrade to first class for $80 a ticket, so I did it.

I booked a flight from Athens to DC.  I asked how must a first class upgrade was, and it would have been $3,000 per person.  When I did my online check in, again, I got an upgrade offer to 1st class, for $300 per person.  I took it.  Totally worth it. 

So it depends on where you're going, when you book, availability of first class seating, a lot of different factors are at play. 

If you need to ask probably more than you can afford.
