Eternal punishment for finite sins. True or false?

Matthew 25

41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the

EVERLASTING FIRE prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 FOR I WAS HUNGRY AND YOU GAVE ME NO FOOD; I WAS THIRSTY AND YOU GAVE ME NO DRINK; 43 I WAS A STRANGER AND YOU DID NOT TAKE ME IN, NAKED AND YOU DID NOT CLOTHE ME, SICK AND IN PRISON AND YOU DID NOT VISIT ME.'44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Some have argued that, "There is only finite punishment for finite sin", which is refuted by the Canonical Gospel of Matthew, chapter 25.

Accordingly, the bold script in verse 42 and verse 43 are but a few examples of "finite sins", which will be punished by "Everlasting hell" in verse 41 and verse 46.

That "finite sins" will be punished by "Eternal hell" is indisputable according to the actual meaning of Matthew 25.

Update:

However, it would simply be illogical, incorrect and dishonest to refute the aforementioned in Matthew 25 in favour of the contrarian and specious argument that, "There is only finite punishment for finite sin", because such an 'argument' is in direct contradiction with "God's holy word", which cannot be contradicted, by definition.

Such an 'argument' is utterly false because it has no basis in the Scripture whatsoever.

Update 2:

Because the Bible doesn't actually say that, "There is only finite punishment for finite sin".

For nowhere in the Bible does it say that, "There is only finite punishment for finite sin".

I’m glad to see someone considering bigger concepts.

When we consider justice, the common understanding is that the punishment should fit the crime. (The scales of justice themselves are based on scripture.)

Here’s the short answer: if someone commits a crime against a peer, it is punished to an appropriate degree. Whereas if someone commits the exact same crime against the elderly or an infant, justice demands the punishment to be more severe. The victim factors greatly in determining justice.

So while you are correct that eternal punishment exists, it is for the sins against a Holy, Perfect and Infinite God. And that is why eternal punishment fits the crime.

Look, it doesnt make any difference if Matthew wrote what, or that the Council of Nicea juggled the words, or whatever.

Lets have a look at the figures.

Currently 8.5 Billion people on the Earth.  That's a lot isnt it.107 Billion people, approx have lived on Earth.

So, 115 Billion souls  ... and then, there's you.

Chances of getting into Heaven, slim to nope.

Chances of getting into Hell, Almost certainty!

The amount of souls to demons was surpassed waaaay before the birth of a famous carpenter.  Back then, it was already at 7 Billion. As such, Hell has taken a much 'easier' viewpoint on everything.

Demons are just not that imaginative. Imps can only stab a soul in the buttocks for so long before they complain about their arms aching. As such, we gone all commercial downstairs.  Honestly happy souls are much easier to look after.  The pit of despair has been turned into a swimming pool.  There's a 24/7 BBQ.  We have so many hookers and prostitutes, not to mention Succubi, that every night is party night.Turns out the Seven Deadly Sins, are a recipe for a great time!

What have you got in Heaven?  Sitting on a cloud learning how to play a harp.  For all eternity.

The bible is full of superstitious nonsense.

'Sin' was invented to rectify the supposed existence of a 'perfect god' who would only be capable of 'perfect creation' and a demonstrably 'imperfect' world and human race.

Basically, it couldn't have been 'his' fault, so it had to be ours.
