Should my mother and I go to Church, Even with the pandemic?

AS LONG AS YOU KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE AND USE YOUR MASK, IT IS PERFECTLY OK TO GO TO GOD'S HOME AND ADORE HIM, AND KEEP RECEIVING HIS BODY AND BLOOD, SOUL AND DIVINITY AT HOLY COMMUNION. HE WILL PROTECT YOU.

Its unnecessarily risky. People of all ages are getting CV and some of all ages are dying from it. Even children.

I strongly urge you to avoid crowds anywhere. Stay home if you can.

God understands our circumstances. 

there is no pandemic, and you shouldn't go to church period. learn to read the bible for yourself, so the fish-heads can't tell you lies about sodom and gomorrah

If there are no restrictions on attending Mass in your area AND you or your mother really would prefer to attend in person go ahead and do so.  

Where I live in Australia, this weekend we’re allowed to have 50 people attending outdoor religious services or 10 indoors, as of next weekend, we’ll be allowed to have 150 people attending indoor church services, subject to being able to maintain 2 square meters (slightly less than 6 square feet) space between each other 

Masks and social distancing make it pretty safe. I assume your church is only allowing people in every other pew, and six feet apart in a pew, which means limiting the number of people who can attend Mass. That's what my parish Church is doing. Also of course, no congregating in the hallway after Mass.

Here in the U.K. all church services of every religion are cancelled. The Pope does not want anyone infected.

You can pray to and honor God anywhere...even safe at home.

If you can get most of the experience from home, stay home.

Coronavirus spreads from the lungs when people talk, cough, or sing towards another person. Churches tend to have a lot of singing.

In my religion we have rules about what you may eat and may not eat.  They are based on what was healthy to eat 2000 years ago--herbivores, ruminants, no blood, etc.  But there is an exception.  These rules are understood to keep you healthy, and if you starve to death, that's not healthy.  So if you can't get the 'approved' food, you can eat whatever you can find to stay alive.

The idea is that tradition is important and rules are important, but staying alive and healthy is the MOST important thing.  Meaning I would stay home for the time being and watch on YouTube.  Don't worry. God knows you're still a good Catholic.

If your mother is under 60 the chance of any serious repurcussions is minimal
