Why are people so selfish these days? I understand people have their own lives but literally people believe they are Gods special child.?

"Therefore, as the elect of God, Holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;"  Colossians 3:12.

People have ALWAYS been selfish on a bell curve -- in other words, some are more selfish than others.

Because their parents told them they were "special."

I arrived at one of my classes to hear the students having a discussion about how all of them had been told they were "special."  They were amazed.

I said, "You know what that means, don't you?   if everyone is "special", no one is special."

Their parents did them a terrible disservice.

I know, the people who think God exists to do special favors for them are, well, really special.
