Would the democrats now calling for “unity” revert back to their previous behavior in the very unlikely event of a second Trump term ?

Are you this ignorant? The dems compromised and worked with George W Bush almost 75% of the time in both houses. We (Republicans) started the obstruction. On the night that Obama was declared the winner in 2008. Who stood on the steps of Congress and shouted “OH NO YOU CAN’T!”. We did nothing but obstruct Obama. At every turn. And when did any dem constantly lie and name call? When did they refuse to bring over 400 pieces of legislation to a vote? When did they claim that a year before an election was too soon to vote on a SCOTUS judge? You are trash. Just like trump.

The Democrats had plenty of opportunities to coalesce and find agreement in the past. What stopped them from doing so? Orange man bad...I guess. They chose to instead dismiss half the people in the country as "racist" or "sexist" because they didn't like what they said. Now that there is a transition of power they want unity.

Barack Hussein Obama (Renegade) recently said there is a problem with White America, basically saying all White people are racist, and we're all f*cked up if we don't agree with Democrat policies. Hillary Clinton called all Trump supporters racist, xenophobic, homophobic, sexist and said they belong in a basket of she would call deplorables. Does this sound like the party of unity?

There is no indication these people want any unity. What they want is for you to agree with them and if you do not agree with them they will continue to label you as racist, sexist, as an antisemite, as a privileged White person, a White supremacist, a homophobe, a xenophobe, a bigot, and as a deplorable. It's the same unity theses scumbags have always called for: Side with us or you are our enemy.

When Biden calls for unity, it means he's going to reach across the aisle and try to find common ground. Trump and Republicans did not do that with the Democrats.

Interesting that the Dems are calling for Unity right now-even after they haunted Trump for 4 YEARS. Guess what? They aint getting it.

I agree that calling for unity is a mistake. Democrats should treat Trump supporters the same way Trump supporters treated Democrats.
