How do you treat someone who talks over you and then talks for 30 minutes straight without breaking.?

Turn off the TV...

You tell them "Will you shut up, man?  LOSER!  SUCKER!  306-232!  You lost!  LOST!  7 million votes in 2020!  2.8million votes in 2016!  You're a two-time LOSER!  Go away forever fat man!".  

Just block out the rubbish they are saying.

That person will not talk to me for 30 minutes straight, because I will tell them I have to leave before it gets to that point. If they insist on continuing to talk, I will raise my voice and sternly tell them I have to go. If they continue, I will yell at them to shut up. As I have gotten older, I care less about looking like the bad guy or offending people, and I have no qualms about telling people to shut up and get the hell away from me. 

Wander off and make a sandwich.

just say excuse me but i need to do stuff

pretend you are getting a phone call and answer it....talk to "yourself" for a few minutes. that will shut your friend the hell up for a moment and hopefully they've forgotten what they were babbling about

Place a piece of tape on their mouth.

I usually keep my convos short and to the point.
