If they fail or get held back?

If your child in kindergarten either gets held back or fails Can they get the same teacher? 

Update:

If u hold back your child can u request them to have them the same teacher?

    That is a decision made by each school, or maybe by the school district.  Some probably will consider such a request and others probably will not.  Contact your school principal about it.  

    And yes, kids CAN be held back in kindergarten - by both the school and the parents.  If they don't have the necessary skills to be successful at the next level then it's in their best interest to stay back a year.  Kindergarten is more than cutting, pasting, coloring, and playing these days.

    Last I checked you can’t fail kindergarten, no grades. Once in a while if a kid gets in barely meeting the age requirement it’s possible to be held back for immaturity.
