Why was Christopher Columbus treated badly in Spain after his last three voyages ?. Would he be treated better if he was a Spaniard ?.?

    Columbus is an INSIGNIFICANT figure in history.  He did NOT discover America, that has been proven time and again, the Nords did.  He was Queen Isabella's bit of trade on the side and that's why she financed his joyrides around the globe, but Columbus achieved NOTHING. He discovered NOTHING.  He just pissed off the Native Americans, that's all.

    He was suppose to be looking for a way to get to China by sailing West.  He was not successful.   I doubt he would have been treated any better had he been a Spaniard.  He was a failed sailor.
